These children who have been entrusted to my care are the promises that have been made to our future.  My promise is to lead them to the best of my ability to become healthy, productive, positive adults.  I will strive each day to accomplish this tack."   Besides teaching, Mrs. Bullington also enjoys scrap booking, spending time with friends, and reading. She is married and has two daughters.

CARLISE FORD

Mrs. Ford is one of third grade teachers. She has been at College Street for eight years.  Her degrees are from Troy State (Troy), a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and a Master's in Collaborative Education. In her spare time, Mrs. Ford enjoys reading non-fiction books, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and working with the youth department at her church.  Mrs. Ford has been a great addition to the College Street "family" with her kind and friendly manner. She feels that education is a privilege as well as an honor, and she believes that every student can succeed. "I realize that no two students are exactly alike; therefore, they do not learn alike. It is my job, my intention, and my desire to meet my students at their individual levels to meet their individual needs. My greatest strength, I feel, is my ability to relate to children. It is easy for me to be nice, caring, and concerned, yet consistent and firm. I only treat my students the way I want to be treated myself. Although I am the authoritarian in my class, I am never too big to say I'm sorry, or I made a mistake.

SHERRI ROYALS

Miss Royals is a sixth grade teacher at College Street and is our 1999-2000 "Teacher of the Year". She has been in the school system for twenty-five years and has taught at College Street for twenty years. She received degrees in Elementary Education and in Administration from Troy State University and Auburn University. She is known around here for being a great cook, and she is very generous in sharing her creations. She is also very talented in art, especially in Calligraphy. Miss Royals owns a Boston Terrier named Blazer. For the past few years, she has served our faculty as a technical advisor with the computer grade book program. Always willing to help others, Miss Royals is a very important member of our College Street family. About being a teacher
she says: "I feel that it is vital that my students realize that I, as their teacher, believe in each one of them. No matter what problems they have suffered, academically, socially, or with their behavior, I want to impart the belief that I expect them to improve in my class. Even a straight A, well-behaved student has room for improvement, and the students must all realize that we are working to better ourselves (myself included).
